Push-to-talk radio overlay for Ohio State Roleplay.
When something is wrong the radio's screen shows a short message and, from version 0.3.6, a code such as E12 on the same line. The version is printed at the top right of the screen.

The number after RX ONLY says why. You should not have to restart the radio to clear one of these. It picks the microphone up on its own once you grant the permission or plug a headset in, and you can always force it to try again: press the left round button under the screen to open the menu, go to the DEV row and press up or down. The one thing that genuinely needs more than that is an E12 on an old Windows build, which could never ask Windows for the microphone in the first place — read that entry in full.
NO MIC / RX ONLY E10The built-in browser engine is missing a feature the radio needs (AudioWorklet, WebAssembly or getUserMedia).
NO MIC / RX ONLY E11The audio codec (bundled with the radio) failed to load. This is a broken install, not your microphone.
NO MIC / RX ONLY E12Microphone permission was refused. This is the most common code. On Windows it was usually refused inside the radio itself, before Windows was ever asked — the tell is that Monolith Radio is not listed at all under the Windows microphone settings. Current versions ask Windows for you, and ask again every time you open the radio until it is granted.
NO MIC line is somehow still there, force a retry from the menu's DEV row (left round button, then up or down).NO MIC / RX ONLY E13No microphone was found, or the one you picked in the menu has been unplugged.
NO MIC / RX ONLY E14The microphone exists but could not be opened: another program holds it exclusively, or the driver failed.
NO MIC / RX ONLY E15The microphone opened but the radio's audio pipeline failed to start.
NO MIC / RX ONLY E19The microphone failed for a reason the radio did not recognise, or the radio is still probing it (the first second after launch).
The radio talks to the CAD over an encrypted connection. These codes mean that link is down, not yet ready, or not yet set up.
NO SVC / RETRYING E20The connection to the CAD dropped. The radio reconnects on its own and RETRYING means it has not given up.
NO LINK / PAIR FIRST E21You pressed push-to-talk but the radio has never been paired with your CAD account.
NO LINK / RECONNECTING E22You pressed push-to-talk while the link was reconnecting.
NO CHAN / TUNING E23You pressed push-to-talk before the radio was tuned to a frequency.
The link is fine; the CAD refused this particular key-up.
NO ACCESS E30This frequency is a department-encrypted channel and your CAD account is not in that department.
BUSY E31The channel is full. Up to eight units can talk at once on a frequency; the ninth is refused. On an older CAD this also meant someone else was talking.
Pairing links this radio to your CAD account. It happens once per install.
PAIRING / GETTING CODE, RETRYING E40The radio asked the CAD for a pairing code and got no answer.
